Cryo-Tags® & Tough-Spots®

Cryo-Tags® & Tough-Spots® are cryogenic labels suitable for long term storage in liquid nitrogen and vapor phase nitrogen. A variety of labels are available to label vials, microtubes, microplates, microscope slides, freezer boxes and freezer racks. Cryogenic labels are available for laser printers, thermal transfer printers, direct thermal printers and handwriting.

Laser Cryo-Tags®
Cryogenic labels formatted for laser printers.

Our patented Cryo-Babies® and Cryo-Tags® withstand both long term cryogenic storage conditions and conventional freezer storage. Cryogenic labels are chemically inert with a solvent resistant adhesive that will adhere to croygenic vials, microtubes, test tubes, glass vials, beakers and metal racks. Cryo-Babies® and Cryo-Tags® also withstand flash/snap freezing in liquid nitrogen, boiling water baths at 100°C and dry heat up to 150°C.

Direct Thermal Cryo-Tags®
Cryogenic labels for direct thermal printers.

For use in Temperatures From 70°C to -196°C

Direct Thermal Cryo-Tags® are formatted to work with most direct thermal printers. Quickly label your samples with sharp text, clear barcodes or a combination of both! Cryogenic labels are suitable for a variety of applications.

Diversified Biotech recommends the Label LIVE app for printing in conjunction with the mydpi Direct Thermal Printer.

Please note that the Dymo LabelWriter 450 has been discontinued and the Dymo LabelWriter 550 is not compatible with Direct Thermal Cryo-Tags®



Thermal Transfer Cryo-Tags­®
Cryogenic labels for thermal transfer printers.

For storage in temperatures from 80°C to -196°C. Labels will resist degradation from scuffing, chemicals, moister and temperature fluctuations. Cryogenic labels are suitable for a variety of applications.



Laser Tough-Spots®
Circular cryogenic labels formatted for laser printers.

For storage in temperatures from -196°C to 150°C.

Tough-Spots® are chemically inert and flexible white and colored polyolefin labels that adhere to most plastics as well as glass and metals. Tough-Spots® withstand vapor and liquid phase nitrogen storage and can endure sustained humidity, soaking, submersion in boiling water baths, autoclaving, organic solvents, caustic agents and other challenges without peeling, degrading or becoming brittle.

Tough Spots® on a roll are easy to write PVC cryogenic labels that accept writing from most lab marker. Tough Spots® come in a variety of colors and sizes to ensure the right label for the right job!

Our patented 
Cryo-Clear™ Laser Labels withstand both long term cryogenic storage conditions and conventional freezer storage. These clear cryogenic labels are chemically inert with a solvent resistant adhesive that will adhere to cryogenic vials, microtubes, test tubes, glass vials, beakers and metal racks.  Cryo-Clear™ Laser Labels also withstand flash/snap freezing in liquid nitrogen and heat up to 70°C.
